This training is for:
All those needing to renew their CURRENT EPA RRP Lead Renovator certification. Those who have a lapsed certification must repeat the Initial training.
Course Description:
This half-day refresher course will enable current certified lead renovators to renew their certification for another five (5) year period. This training is approximately 3.33 hours classroom and .66 hours hands-on lab work followed by a short written test. EPA Lead Renovators may take this renewal class for their certification up to 6 months prior to their certification expiration date. Upon successful completion, attendees will recieve a new Lead Renovator card from the training provider (NYSWDA). The EPA requires all contractors that work in pre-1978 housing to have this certification.
HCR requires that sub-grantees must have at least one Lead Renovator per crew present each day. HCR suggests that agencies employ more than one Lead Renovator per crew to ensure that a certified individual is present every day a pre-1978 house is being weatherized.
Prerequisites:
Must have completed the EPA RRP Lead Renovator training and hold a current certification. If your certification has expired, you will need to take the full class again.
