EPA RRP Lead Renovator (Initial)
Location: Economic Opportunity Program Inc of Chemung & Schuyler Counties - 650 Baldwin Street, Elmira, NY 14901
This training is for:
Class open to all attendees, including construction and weatherization contractors.
Course Description:
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published the Lead; Renovation, Repair and Painting Program that requires each contractor working on pre-1978 residences to have an EPA Certified Renovator on-site while jobs are set up and cleaned up. The certified person will be responsible for documenting that all work was done in a lead safe manner.
This is a 1-day course with approximately 6 hours classroom and 2 hours hands-on lab work, followed by a multiple choice written test. Upon course completion, attendees will receive a Lead Renovator card from the training provider (NYSWDA). This certification requires a five year renewal.
Prerequisites:
for WAP only- must have completed the One-Day Lead Safe Weatherization training

8 - EPA requires an 8 to 1 student-to-trainer ratio and a strict maximum limit of 8
