Basic Electricity - Online

Course Description:
This is a one-day session from 9:00am until noon.

The Basic Electricity online training course consists of three hours of online lecture and videos on these topics:

• Working safely with electricity
• Basic AC electrical theory including Ohm’s Law
• Using ohm, volt, and amp meters
• Common wiring components
• Pulling/snaking wire
• Wiring in ventilation fans/smart switches
• Common residential circuits-Troubleshooting

All training is done to meet the standards of the National Electric Code (NFPA 70). Students will come away with a basic understanding of electrical theory using tools of the trade and standard wiring methods. Training handouts will be available to download during the course.
