Course Description:
Heat Pumps have been installed and running in cold climates for decades. They have been saving many homeowner and business owners money on their heating costs. Currently air source heat pumps are being used with, oil furnaces, propane furnaces, natural gas furnaces and fan coils with electric back up. Heat pumps are ductless as well and they mount in the area to be conditioned.
Once an auditor has secured the heat loss/gain we will walk thru the process of determining what heat pump is the best for the home depending on the existing system and condition of the duct distribution system. Additionally, we will review what requirements must be available in the home for each different system. The course will review best installation and commissioning practices for the whole house system as well as the ductless system.
