HVAC Troubleshooting Techniques

This training is for:
EXPERIENCED WAP heating technicians / HVAC technicians and contractors
Course Description:
This challenging 2-day course will teach the skills required to troubleshoot a furnace or boiler to the component level. Using a multimeter and unit schematics, an HVAC technician will learn the skills necessary to quickly and accurately diagnose HVAC system problems. In NYSWDA's state-of-the-art HVAC lab, trainees will troubleshoot computer-simulated HVAC circuits and controls and will diagnose up to 5 different furnaces, all having had their controls rigged to fail under various conditions. As part of this training, attendees will also learn electrical theory including OHM's Law, series and parallel circuits, wiring schematic interpretation, and multimeter use.
