NYSWDA is pleased to present to you the interactive second edition of the New York State Weatherization Field Guide for your use. We hope that you will find this guide to be a useful tool for staff in making smart field decisions. This field manual will promote uniformity throughout the State and will allow staff to quickly reference standards and best practices in weatherization.

The new interactive format includes web links that are embedded within the document which provides easy access to the national Standard Work Specification’s (SWS) for weatherization. Since this searchable format provides so many opportunities to connect directly to the SWS, which are also searchable, we do not plan to do a formal printing of the updated guide. (If you choose to print the new guide, it can be printed from the PDF version, see instructions below.) You can either; bookmark the web version for instant access or download the .PDF version to your smartphone, tablet, or desktop computer. Both are searchable and provide direct links to the SWS.

Development of this guide was a collaborative effort between NYSWDA staff and NYS Homes and Community Renewal’s Technical Assistance Unit.
