Look what industry professionals have to say about our training and expertise!!!

We find our experience to be refreshing……to work with trainers that not only have the theoretical knowledge but also possess the practical experience from working in the field themselves.  They communicate…. like technicians, which is conducive to the learning process… -Kevin G. Hull, Operations Manager, Blueox Corporation

I cannot say enough in praise of the staff, the trainings offered, and the presentation of the trainings.  Thank you NYSWDA!” –Ray Smith, Field Coordinator, Cayuga/Seneca Community Action Agency

I was looking for some specialized training for some of our technicians. (They)…came back to me within a day with a well-organized agenda that addressed all of my specific needs.” -Kevin G. Hull, Operations Manager, Blueox Corporation

"I really appreciated the time you folks took to set up your course and thoroughly enjoyed the hands-on lab work.  I gained a lot of useful information in which I will definitely take to the field with me. You folks really know whats going on..., and I thank you for that." -Brandon Lafirira, Central Vermont Community Action Council

I just went to the auditor training. I just wanted to say thanks to you and the guys for a great training. Always an informative, fun and hands on experience with you guys. You guys are awesome. Hopefully we will see you guys a lot more. Thanks again."  -Dan LaBarron, Northeastern Employment and Training Organization

Located within our Training Center on Fisher Road, the heating lab showcases 15 working heating systems and 3 water heating systems which represent all the major types of systems found in the field. Oil and gas fired furnaces and boilers make up our inventory. They range from very basic units to the latest in high efficiency heating systems. Controlled lockouts give students the opportunity to identify common problems found in residential appliances so they can be quickly and efficiently corrected.

  • Cleaning and tuning of appliances, to achieve their maximum efficiency, and diagnostic troubleshooting are also among the primary activities of our training. Appliance installation instruction ensures maximum efficiency, proper function and customer safety for new equipment being installed in the field. NYSWDA students receive exceptional training in all aspects of working with residential heating systems.
